The Expo features organizations and agencies that offer services and benefits for retirees and employees. Free health screenings and flu shots will also be available. Several exhibitors will have door prizes and giveaways for attendees.
Our Annual Business Meeting will include reports and highlights of our activities from throughout the past year, as well as a look ahead to the future. Don Yancey, Deputy Director of Retirement Systems of Alabama, will be our special guest speaker.
Join us for a cocktail reception and dinner where you will have the opportunity to meet candidates running for the U.S. Senate. Front runners Congressman Bradley Byrne, Coach Tommy Tuberville and Secretary of State John Merrill are scheduled to attend.
This jam-packed evening also plays host to legislators and local government officials that have been invited to attend, and the FOREPAC Raffle.
The evening will end with a cocktail social where you can mingle with other attendees and recap the days events.
This event recognizes the significant contributions of ARSEA/APEAL leaders who are making a difference in the lives of state, municipal and county retirees throughout Alabama. Winners of this year’s honors, including “Member of the Year" and “Chapter of the Year” will be announced. Our special guest speaker will be Lt. Governor Will Ainsworth.
State and Local Government attendees will participate in separate sessions. Leading this year’s State session will be State Employees' Insurance Board CEO William Ashmore. Local Government attendees will hear from Kylle' McKinney, Public Affairs Specialist with the Social Security Administration.
Concluding our Annual Convention agenda will be our President’s Luncheon, featuring our special guest former congressman Jo Bonner, who is currently the chief of staff for Gov. Kay Ivey. Our annual Grand Prize drawing will take place at the conclusion of the luncheon.
